About the artist

Hello there! I'm Ida Idayu Nazree and I'm a photographer based in Malaysia. I started taking pictures in my early teenage years and I am interested in capturing moments that have spirit and implicit meaning. This is my gallery which displays some of the moments I captured around Klang.
Overview
About the project

Klang the forgotten city; is an attempt to restore public attraction to the glory days of Klang once upon a time. Klang name is believed to originate from the Mon-Khmer or Austro-Asian language group "Klong" which means canal while according to the Langkasuka language, Klang means a place located in the middle as its location is located between Kedah and Melaka. In 1875, Klang was chosen as the capital of the state of Selangor before being changed to Kuala Lumpur and now moved to Shah Alam.
Completing the loop

Klang is a place with an optimal population density that provides complete transportation facilities. I could see public transportation crossing in front of me several times. I got to these locations by car with a distance of only 9.8km to get to all places. There are several places located close to each other that I can reach just by walking for a few minutes.
